UPDATED INFORMATION: Changes to the Scheme for Norwegian Goods in Transit (NVIT) from 31 March 2026
As of 31 March 2026, the temporary scheme for Norwegian Goods in Transit (NVIT) will be discontinued. This entails changes to the declaration requirements for consignments where both the place of departure and the place of destination are in Norway, but where the transport route passes through Sweden or Finland. The change follows from the Transit Convention to which Norway is a signatory.
