Both the Swedish Transport Workers’ Union (Transport) and the Swedish Dockworkers’ Union (HF) have issued notices of industrial action that may affect our operations and transports in the coming weeks.

What do the notices involve?
The Swedish Dockworkers’ Union (HF) has announced a full strike in all ports where they are represented on Wednesday, May 21, from 12:00 to 18:00. This will be followed by additional actions in the form of:
*Strike
*Overtime ban
*Ban on hiring temporary staff and new employees
These measures will take effect from Thursday, May 22, at 09:00 and will remain in place until Monday, May 26, at 22:30. Staffing agencies involved in port operations will also be affected by sympathy strikes.
The Swedish Transport Workers’ Union (Transport) has announced a ban on overtime, additional hours, and new hires starting on Wednesday, May 21, at 16:00. In addition, strikes are planned at selected port companies beginning on Friday, May 30, at 06:00, which will continue in stages through June 15.

How will NTEX and our customers be affected?
At present, we assess that the greatest impact will affect our unaccompanied trailer traffic to and from the Port of Gothenburg, with consequences for flows to and from the UK, France, Belgium, Spain, and the Netherlands. Assessments and actions will be made individually, based on each specific situation. To ensure the best possible solutions, we will maintain a close and continuous dialogue with you as our customer.

Next steps
We are closely monitoring developments and will keep you continuously updated if the situation changes.
If you have any questions about how this might affect you specifically, you are most welcome to contact your regular NTEX representative.
